Leaving England, flying from Humberside, I embarked on The Magnificent Journey That Not Many People Know About again, with a few hours to kill in Amsterdam that extended into 24 hours to kill in Amsterdam because for various reasons, ie. coffee shops, I missed my flight and clinking glasses that evening with a German woman who said "Well, I can't think of many better places to miss a flight" I agreed with her unanimously and caught the plane to Lisbon the next day, remembering not one detail of the hotel room I had stayed in.
